My college has what is called university orientation which is run by undergrad students. They have training opening up next week. I don't know if this is something I want to do or not. I have a 15 credit hour load, 6 hours of research each week and work 20 hours. Do you think I should try the training class? It would  give me good experience since im considering teaching for awhile with the phd. Also good to put on my resume, but I don't really know what I'm getting myself into.

Replies penguincube Posted at 4:46 pm on Feb. 24, 2008 You didn't really mention how much time the training would take up.  Try to factor it in to a hypothetical weekly schedule of yours, and see if you would have enough time for it.  Your workload is fairly packed as it is, but there is still room in there for other things if you really want to apply yourself, and this program does seem to have benefits.   Unless you are sure that you are not able to fit it into your schedule without going crazy, I say go for it.  I interviewed for a peer advisor position at my university recently but did not make it (there was a lot of competition), but it is something I would have liked to done and you would probably enjoy it. babycitrus69 Posted at 2:06 pm on Feb. 10, 2008 I work two jobs.. about 30 hours a week.
