If during an RA interview for anyone who has had one or has given them, is it discouraged to say during interviews something like "I think drinking is bad, it's harmful to the body and I dont believe I should put anything harmful into my body"  blahb blah blag??

Could that negatively affect how the interviewer sees you> ?  Meaning you might judge your residents or be out to bust people for underages??

not at my school, but drinking is against the rules here.

I would say to make sure you temper it with an understanding of the fact that you are dealing with adults, and that you have to be ...gracious.

It's not bad to say that you don't like drinking, but they can tell if you're not being genuine. During my interview, they gave a lot of scenarios, and I had to walk them through exactly what I'd do.

Uh, yea, I would think going off on a tangent, even one that shows your knowledge or ability to uphold rules, should probably be discouraged. You want to show optimism to the job, not negativity towards certain people or activities.

As long as you explain how you would take care of situations such as busting a minor compared to watching someone bring in alcohol into the building. It also depends on if the campus is "dry" or not.
