Just Waiting Here Posted at 11:47 am on July 4, 2008
There are two of them for my school.  The one that's really helped me out is on vacation, so I've had to talk to this other one.  I feel like he really doesn't care.  His e-mails are poorly written, very brief, and he doesn't answer the questions that I need answered.  But that's fine, maybe it's just me.

But... I asked him on Wednesday what day I could come in to the school and talk to someone.  I said I could come on Thurs or Mon, and asked him which day would be better for him.  He told me they were closing early on Thursday, but I could come in from any time between 10-12.  So I email him back saying thank you, and that I would be going on Thursday.

So, my boyfriend and I make the 2 hour commute up to my school.  And when we get there at 11:15, there's a note saying that he left from 11-12, and after that, they close.

I talked to the lady at the reception desk and told her that I came 2 hours up, and that if there was ~anyone~ I could talk to, I would really appreciate it.  Thankfully, someone was willing to help me out... but I'm really angry with that advisor... He just took an early lunch... :(.

But the person that I ~did~ talk to was AMAZINGLY helpful :).

Well, that's the important part, I guess.

Yeah!  I just mean... seriously.  I emailed him just so that wouldn't happen and everything.  I guess it's walk in, since I couldn't make an appointment (I tried)... but still :(.

good thing there was someone willing to help you while you were there =] but he sounds like a douche

I know!  I mean... 2 hour commute, just to go home with nothing?  It cost my boyfriend and I 17 dollars each to get there and back because public transport is so expensive with the train.  It's not like I can easily come back on another day :(.

But yeah, in a sense, it's good.  I don't think he would have helped me out the way the lady did :).

You should have reported him for that, as that is terrible. You had an appointment in which he gave you the time. And he knew you were coming to talk to him, so it wasn't unplanned.

He specifically said it was 'walk in', and that he would be there from 10-12.  But then he left -__-'.  I don't want to bother though, the other lady will come back from vacation soon.  But either way, I think I got most of my questions answered :).

First, that guy sounds like a jerk. I'm glad you found someone who could help you. Is this for college?

Yeah.  I had to get readmitted because of some certain things, and for that reason, I was two months behind on the first set of registration which has caused some problems... lol.
