produts used 8 swisher sweets cigars 2 packs of kool filter kings
day 1: 1 cigar.
really hard to smoke on day 1. I found it hard to breathe for a short while, but returned to normal after 20 minutes. no change in ability to sing after that.
day 2: 1 cigar
I found it a bit easier to smoke. not really any different from day 1
day 3: 2 cigars. found it a bit harder to take in the right breath, given it was starting to hurt to even swallow. so I could not get enough breath, so performance was somewhat lacking from a professional standpoint.
day 4: 2 cigars.
lot of strange sounds while breathing. sounds like as if I had an infection in my lungs(mucous buildup). couldn't sing without fluid getting in the way. bit of blood when a coughed from coughing fit earlier.(maybe I shouldn't have done this study...but I'm going to detoxify myself after this).
day 5: 2 cigars same as day 4.
day 6: 4 cigarettes.
menthols are a bit strange. felt like my lungs were crystalizing...by this point, hard to keep air moving a bit.
day 7: half pack.
my goodness, it's near impossible to even play piano and sing. energy was dropping without tobacco. needless to say, rehearsal sucked.
day 8: rest of pack 1.
I was too tired to go practice.
day 9: 1/4 pack
migraine from hell. just practiced piano.
day 10: 1/4 pack
hurt to breathe. bit more blood(I'm gonna get an evaluation from my doctor next week)
day 11: half pack
finally out. couldn't sing worth crap.
today: withdrawal.
ugh...no more cigarettes, but still irritable. even a pause with music on my cd aggravated me to high hell. coughing like crazy still. bit of blood here and there.
overall: smoke clings to your body. felt really dirty those 11 days. also really painful(may be my body's personal reaction).
singing and smoking don't go together, as I have proven. wish I had taped it...coulda made a mean buck or two.

I can officially say that I know that people who smoke couldn't make it without a well balanced diet and exercise, which would still have to be extreme. call it stupid, but I don't see anyone else taking the time(and health risk) to prove a point here. seems to me most just stand on the coat tails of others(just repeating what they hear and try to sound as if they know a thing or two). I'll tell you what, I'm not gonna sit around smug and safe, and then pretend I know what is good because someone told me. I'm gonna test theories and facts. I hear that jumping off a cliff is life threatening...

sure, that's why you jump prepared, with either a parachute, glider, or water below. (9_9) duh!
...Really? Smoking has a negative impact on one's singing voice? Really? You've blown my fucking mind with that shocker. Maybe I should do a study on whether or not having no legs can affect your ability to successfully use a pogo stick.
