Can the "Facebook" people track you down if you made a fake facebook account and pretended to be someone?

I sent someone a message, but it wasn't like a threat or anything...but she somehow thinks I'm stalking her.  I think she prolly reported it.

Since then, I have deactivated my account and also deleted the email address I used for it.

Is there a way for the police or facebook police to "track someone down" from which computer it was and stuff?
Or do they not bother...if the account is gone, they can't do anything right?

Unless you have some bad stuff on there--like something serious...they won't do anything about it.

You can get in trouble.  That's why you're supposed to read the "Rules of Conduct/Etc" when you sign up for an account.

After a certain amount of time- if someone hasnt confirmed you are who you say you are- they close your account.

Unless it was some kind of serious threat, nothing will happen at all.
