What would you say is the most diplomatic way of turning a job down if you get given the ok the day AFTER the interview?

I applied for the job online having no idea where it is or how much i would be paid etc. I just thought i would apply cause i was applying lots of places. I went to the interview today and im kinda like mmmm i just dont know.
i get told tomorrow whether or not i got the job. I just dont know if i really want it. I applied at lots of places and there are other jobs i would prefer but i havnt heard back yet.
I also applied for a course at a uni that im hoping to get into in semester 2.

Well, I would say, take the job now since it's being offered and then quit if the opportunity for a better one (or Uni) comes up. But go for the job and keep it just as a fail-safe in case your plans don't work out. This way you won't be left without a job wondering what in the world to do.

WHY would you turn down a job if you took the trouble to go to an interview?
I agree. You gotta do what you gotta do.

Because they were misleading in your Job Duties. Some jobs are like that. I once got a job where I seriously thought I was going to have my own desk, making some kind of Advertisment or something. At least working in a mail room. But no. They took me to some Ghetto part of the city, in the middle of the spring... (San Antonio) And gave me a bunch of Pizza Hut coupon books. So I walked around with this guy and tried to sell them from door to door... NO! I quit and went to the next interview.

Is it one of those jobs where you walk around neighborhoods and try to sell Coupons, or Newspaper Subscriptions?

If so, it goes like this, "FUCK THAT!"

Depends on the Job, what job are you turning down?
