The unknown

what is the unkown?
what is unknown?
if its unknown, how do we know about it?
How can we name something that, we dont know anything about?

Of course, if you dont know things can change, you'll die in about 6 seconds
But, if you know things can change, does that change anything?
Does knowing about the unknown mean that we know?
which brings back the first question, what is the unknown?

its different for everyone, and for everyone its everything
its the shadows when your sleeping alone with no night light for the first time,

its your first halloween,
first birthday party

first day at school,
first high school class,
first college dorm

first date,
first kiss,
first romance,
even your first mistake

its your life
get use to it,
it'll be here for a while

oh, and that knife in the kitchen,
or those left over pills you forgot about

not going to work,
because you know,
oh yes, you know,
your stuck here

pain, mistakes, sorrow, depression, those are the worst
but you stay in the game for the happy,
the "you're right" moments,
the sense of accomplishment

funny how our nature strives for the unknown,
destroys the unknown,
and in the end we know, the biggest unknown,
is you.
