There once was a girl
Born and raised
In a nice, and happy home.
Everything she ever needed
Everything she ever wanted.
Gazing at he world through glasses
The brightest shade of rosy pink.
Smile plaster to her face
Optimism
Blind Happiness
The simplest existence
But with life comes time
with time comes change.
And so there was a girl
Born and raised
In a nice and Happy home.
Everything she ever needed
But not quite sure of what she wanted.
Once so confident and self assured
Now cynical
"Insightful"
A way of life
Not to be voluntarily chosen.
For Take what you hear
Warp it around in your mind
Don't forget
To over analyze
Assume the worst
For the "best" is but a lie.
No one could possibly
Say a good thing about you, anyways
pick a part the world around you
One negative thing at a time.
Not a life to long for
For being "insightful" has a price.
Hate
Silly optimistic fools
Don't feel such a thing the way cynics do
Yet not hate unto another
Hate unto onesself.
A habit
A feeling
The girl soon learned to understand
To know
And accept.
She gazed out from the world
Behind angry black lenses.
And with life comes time
And with time comes change
Yet for some this change will worsen.
And the girl raised in a happy home
With everything she ever needed
And nothing that se ever wanted
Because all she wanted was to be happy
Found time to scrutinize
The world she took a part in
Just enough to realize
What a hell hole it really is
And she Grew to understand
Even more
What wrongs she had done.
For who with such a perfect life?
Would still find the time
To wallow in self pity?
Only a horrible person
Of course
So the hate within her grew
Until the anger had subsided
Replaced itslf with sorrow
So thick
So deep
So strong and true
That nothing could help her now.
And she gazed upon the world
Through tear fogged blue lenses.
And with life comes time
And with time comes change
Usually
Not for the better.
And the girl from the happy home
With everything she needed
No longer a want in the world
Let her sorrow get the best of her
And swallow her up whole.
No longer did she have the chance
To gaze at life through any lenses
Her eyes now
Forever closed.
