The contest It's straightforward enough: Write a haiku. It can be funny, sad, strange. It can be about raisin bran or about flying, leaves or air conditioners. It will be judged on the quality of the portrayal of the message, not on the message itself.
The haiku, obviously, may not break LiveWire's guidelines, nor be offensive to a particular race or religion. If a submission is found to be offensive, it will be disqualified. These haiku's should not bring forth a hateful message.
Plagiarism will be based on an honor system. I won't disqualify anybody for plagiarism without specific evidence, but if I find somebody to have cheated they will be disqualified and publicly shunned on this post.
Judges, Points, and Dates, oh my! I need three judges. I'll make a group for discussion. PM me if you are interested by December 16th, 2008.
The contest ends on December 31st, 2008, and the winner will be announced January 10th, 2009.
