O' the day where blossoms grow,
To tulip buds alight in incandescent sun.
Cheerful children scouring through the sandbox,
unaware of the melancholy teenager who clasps a knife.
Only to cry over a small wound
Internal wound? No.
Emotional bliss swirls with ice cream and candy canes.
Sprinkles, swimming,
The mercantile juveniles trading small items.
Cards, animals, cheek kisses.
Innocence and youthfulness combined.
Lego towers scraping skys of purple tents;
O' those days.

----

English teacher wanted another poem simaler to yesterday's only reflecting on something.

Think I'll get a decent grade on this? Or should I write about something else?
