I'm not sure if this should go here or in the alcohol section.  Last night I went to a party with my friend at a friends apartment about 15 minutes away.  I don't have a liscence but if I did I would've offered to be a DD. Anyways, I was drinking, playing games, dancing and chatting basically just having a good night until I began to notice my friend who said she was not going to have more than 1-2 drinks over the course of the night  was drinking much more than that and beginning to look tipsy.
around 12:30 she began to note that she was tired and wanted to leave but I didn't think she was sober enough to drive and she admitted that in fact she'd had bout 3 drinks or so (she's 107 lbs.) and she was continuing to drink....said she can drive fine when she's drunk and also was gonna have the host drop us off at her car which was pretty far away.
I thought this was a very bad idea and told her she shouldn't drive, we should call a friend...it's too dangerous and I also told her she needed to stop drinking if she wanted to sober up enough to drive....she told me to mind my own buisness.....soooo right then I made up my mind not to get in the car with her and called my friend from school who doesn't drink for a ride.  I felt bad about it but I honestly had no other choice(there were other people I could call but he was the first one to come to mind).
I'm definately gonna have to thank him again and again and I know he's prolly lost some respect for me as I was very upset(not crying) when he picked me up as I was freaked out, slightly angry and just upset as one guy started talking about dead friends which brought up my best friend....What's more is my friend is prolly gonna be pissed off at me and everything....I mean, it was shitty of me to leave her there but she wouldn't come and as she said, I'm not her mother.....any thoughts?

If anything he may have gained more respect for you because you were trying to persuade your other friend not to drive drunk and you knew that you should not drive either.

Yeah you adopt a right way not to drive by yourself and callsed a friend to drive you to the living place because you were drunk.DON'T CARE HER IF SHE DID NOT COME WITH YOU.Drunk drivers take risk of their own life and others too. They have killed a lot of people.

Nah, it happens in China everyday. Drunk drivers hit people and killed themselves. There are like 1million people died of drunk drive every year. Big deal.
