What exactly constitutes passing out, and simply falling asleep after a long night of dancing and drinking? Like if I start drinking at around 10pm, and become tired and sleepy at around 2am, does that I mean I'm passing out or simply naturally falling asleep?

not all that sure but i do know passing out will give you less regenerative sleep compared to naturally going to bed.

Passing out is involuntary, it's usually caused by a drop in blood pressure, lack of oxygen/blood to the brain and low blood sugar, this may only last for a few minutes.

Sleeping is usually voluntary and it's when your body and mind is exhausted and needs rest to "re energize" (unlike going unconscious). A person can be woken quite easily and sleep lasts alot longer than a few minutes, your body normally wakes up naturally after 8-12 hours sleep.

If you get drunk it DOES NOT MEAN you will pass out

Passing out is like falling asleep unintentionally.  Like, when you drink WAAY too much and your body can't take it anymore.

Falling asleep quickly is because your body has no more energy.

You can pass out from so many different reasons
