Okay, I got to a state school that is VERY strict with alcohol.  Most people get caught, it is very tight there.  If you live in the dorms, it's even worse and the RAs are very stern.  It's frankly easy to get caught.

My friend and I came back to my room in the dorms on a Saturday night at like 2:30 in the morning.  We were just working at a school-function dance (compeltely sober, neither of us drink).

I tried to open the door, but my roommate would not let me in.  She kept locking it and said "Go away" or "Hold on" really rudely.  My friend had NEVER met her before and thought she was a bitch.  Then I said "No, she's drunk"

It turns out that her boyfriend was there that night...they were both naked.  My theory is that they had sex earlier and then fell asleep.  I think we woke them up when we got there...But she still wouldnt let us in after lots of knocking, we gave them plenty of time to get dressed. (PS - my roomie never came back drunk OR got it on with her bf without my knowing ahead of time)

Then she started stuttering and saying "No, stop it! It hurts, stop, it hurts."  So my friend thought she was being RAPED!  And it did sound like that.  Remember, my friend never met her and she happens to be an RA from a different building.  So she slammed on the door and Demanded that she let us in...cause she was still locking it and holding the door shut whenever I tried to push it open.

She finally let us in and she was blacked out, doesnt remember anything.  I got my stuff and slept at my friend's room that night, but let me tell you.....If my friend had not been there, I would have gotten another RA and I guarantee that she would have gotten an underage, my roomie and her boyfriend both. And by shere luck, no other RA heard us yelling at her at 2 AM, even though we woke up all the residents on my floor and they were concerned.

Well, would it have been ok for me to get an RA in that situation if my friend wasn;t there, or do you think  i could have handled it?  Basically, if any other RA were involved, she would have gotten an underage, no doubt.

Would that have been the right thing or the wrong thing?  Doesnt that sound weird to you???

No. she just stared astounded. she was just being a bitch because I came home late, she didn't tell me she had a test the next day and so how was I supposed to know. I would have made arrangements to stay over at my friends dorm if she had just tolc me. Then when I knocked she just pretended not to hear but I rang her up and I heard her phone inside the room and that dumb betch actually picked it up and answered and then hung up hopping I wouldn't here. Obviously I wasn't going to just walk up to the door and be like, "well shit the inside bolt it locked I guess I will just grab a hotel." It was only two weeks till end of term so we just requested new roommates. I was never loud of inconsiderate she had no reason to do that it was absurd.

If getting an RA was your only option left in the situation, there would have been nothing wrong with it.  That's what they're there for. But luckily the situation was resolved without her getting in trouble, so there is no point second guessing the situation

I usually try to handle situations myself, especially when underage alcohol is involved.  What's done is done, and everyone is okay, more or less.

Well yeah of course you could have narked on her and gotten her an underage.

Here at my college its totally zero policy. Some residents wont nark on each other, but the RA finds out, you're toast.

Yeah she probably would have gotten one.

if my roommate did not want me to come in because of guests I would just go to a friends rooms and sleep there.
