I'm a high school drop out, but don't you dare tell me I fucked up my life!

I went through an LPN/LVN apprenticeship training program to become a licensed pratical/vocational nurse.

I get more hands on clinical job settings than most RNs do. I get to give patients medicine, change their dressings, and occasionally inject and IV system. Not to mention the countless tears I've gotten to dry and the many hugs and kisses I get in thanks.

I truely love my job, not to mention the $30,000 annual salary with a 10% pay raise each year. I can't see myself doing anything else so don't ever tell me I fucked my life for dropping out of high school.

Good for you.  There are lots of opportunities out there...you just have to hunt them down.

It's always odd to me when random strangers get online and start yelling at a bunch of other random strangers.

If you have a problem with something someone said to you, shouldn't you take it up with them? Instead of posting to the internet which never said a word to you? And a bunch of strangers who don't even know you?

Congrats, I'm glad you're happy. Now, tell it to the people who tell you that you did ''fuck up your life'' becuase it seems you may be dealing with a lot of them.

I would never say you did.  It's all a matter of doing what you want in life and ultimately being happy.  Some people don't enjoy school, and others have other things going on that causes them to drop.  As long as you're happy with it, or you later realize that you're ready to go back, that's really all that matters.

I'm happy for you :]
SLynch89 Posted at 10:09 am on Aug. 7, 2008
Well if what you say is true than you are the exception to the rule, because truth be told most people who do drop out of high school go on to fail at life..
whooaaa Posted at 10:09 am on Aug. 7, 2008
I also dropped out. I wish I hadnt, but I got me GED, I am enrolled in college. I love my life. It would have been easier if I would have stayed in school, but shit happens you know. Sometimes it isnt an option.
hardnhorny Posted at 10:09 am on Aug. 7, 2008
Glad to hear it worked out for you!  I only have a 2 year college degree and yet, I make almost $80k/year with all the perks.  Gotta love IT departments :)

is anyone just really tempted to say it? lol

anyway, that's pretty cool. It's good that you love your job too. That's all that matters really :].
