I live on campus. The campus is quite safe, but I'm somewhat...paranoid, when it comes to night walking/night events. I've never been to a Football Game, in my life, let alone high school, and now, college/University. Reason being: The Stadium is a block's walk away from the campus. Now, to many, that's nothing. To me? That's a lot. Especially at night. During the day, the Main Street one has to cross to get to the Stadium, is scary. I can't imagine what it's like, at night. That, and I have asthma, and thank the Goddess above that most of my classes are right across from my living establishment. While my campus is probably one of the smallest, I still get problems, when I have to take a distanced walk. Stupid ashtma.
Anyway, I was offered a job, today, at the Stadium. Ticket Taker, during the Home Football Games. 8$ an hour, 4 hours of the game. Thing is, games start at 8, and could well extend into the midnight hour, from what I know. The games are on Saturday, so, it's not like I would have to worry about classes, the next day...but I'm iffy on this job, due to the above mentioned circumstances.
I was wondering if anybody here has ever had a Ticket Taker's job. How is it? Does it involve dealing with stupid people? I don't do well with people, let alone stupid people. :P And, if you have had a job, such as this, does the job last THROUGH the games, or does the 4 hours start before, and end during?
no, my friend was one, its a pretty easy going job from what ive seen
