It's my second ever job.
My first job was McDonald's, for about 6 weeks, during the summer of 2006.
This one is a simple Mentoring/Tutoring Job, on campus. 7$ an hour, 12 hours a week.
I think it's cool, but I'm nervous!
I start next Monday.
$12 is the minimum wage here.. But anyway, being nervous is good. It shows that you actually care.
12$ minimum wage? Lucky! :P
I'd kill for that.
But, then again, I'd kill for a Klondike Bar. ;)
This is decent pay. 7$ an hour is about a buck more than minimum wage. And I'm getting paid to attend a class. It really doesn't get any better than that.
The job pretty much fell into my lap, from who knows where. :P
And the minimum wage is not much higher than 6.00$ an hour. I think it just went up. We were at 5.85$ an hour, recently.
I already know the class I'll be tutoring. I have to attend the class, three days a week, to get notes, and stuff, and then TA with the teacher...but I'm getting paid to do that, so it's wicked. :P
I thoroughly enjoy that class (I took it my Freshman First Semester, and made a very high A), and love working with other people. I mean, I've never done it, before, but I enjoy helping others out.
But all in all, I've always enjoyed tutoring, and I think it's one of the best jobs you can get when you're in school.
