I've been fixing computers for friends and family for a couple of years now, but if I where to set up an Ad in my local paper advertising this would I have to get any sort of permission? I'm in College (sort of) atm, so I don't know if this would be classed as self employed or what.

Basically, am I allowed just allowed to run a small business out of my home or do I need permission?

Thanks. D:

you would be obligated to pay taxes and setup a company best now as a sole trader-you will probably have to advertise to form a company as well.
