I just found out a store is hiring. I go back to school in a different town at the end of summer. Is it dishonest to not tell them this and just quit at the end of summer? I just want to have the same opportunity to get the job.

If you get an interview and you can express your skills well enough, your potential employer should have no problem if you explain that you will have to resume school, but are considering the job as a career or to resume work when available. Otherwise, if they don't ask, you're not obligated to offer anything. True, this could create some thin air later on, but it all ultimately depends on how badly you want the job, and what you're willing to say/do.

Yeah, a bit. If they ask you if you plan to leave though, and you say no, that's dishonest. You don't want to be on bad terms with prior employers because your next ones could run a check on you and contact them.

I think that's fair enough. You need a job just like everyone else, don't tell them and take the job.
