I applied to a job I really wanted and after the interview (which went well), they said they would let me know within a week at the latest whether or not they selected me for the position.  It's been a little over a week now and still no feedback, although on the company website, it says my job app is still "under review" and not "rejected" or anything.  Should I start to worry or does the hiring process usually take longer anyway?

A week or a little over a week isn't too long. If it's three weeks or more then I'd assume you didn't get the job, but if it's been less than two weeks then I'd think that's normal. It depends on the job though.

phone. it shows you're keen and still interested.

let's put it this way, if you can't be arsed to find out, they can't be arsed to employ you.

they're probably taking their time or interviewing other people too.

Don't worry.  They're lazy asses and take their time.
