I have a degree in graphic design and in a way I would rather have my own business then work for some company.  I go back and forth with the idea though.  How would I go about to start a company though.  I would want it to be online.  An example is altgraphics.com.  I know who started that graphic design company.  How do you think I should about starting my own?

graphic design is a fun but hectic industry. i used to do that for a bit. kind of a hurry up and wait field. deadlines were everywhere and half the time we were waiting on the customer to ok stuff or give us material and then we get stuck crunching in the middle of the night trying to get it done.

I'm in the same boat too! I'm still in college, but right now, I'm working for the university designing web pages. I also have a few "clients" of my own, and some of my friends know some people that need help, too.

But, yeah, I'd wayy rather BE the man than WORK FOR the man!
