I applied for three jobs and still haven't found one.

Even if you have to start with what seems to be a crappy job (ie fast food), it's definitely worth it, because it can be used as experience in a better job further down the road.  It's SO hard to find a good job without any experience.  At the restaurant I used to work at, I watched the managers as they laughed at applications with blank work histories, then trashed them.

Be persistent.  Apply several places, and when possible, try to talk to the manager.  Follow up on the places you apply to... call and ask if they have looked at your application, or go and ask if you could speak to the manager.

I always had a problem with being too shy.  Don't know if others have the same problem, but it doesn't help when you don't talk to people.  Going the extra mile really helps.

I applied to at least 15 different places, some weren't really looking for help at the time but they keep it on "file".  The best jobs come when you know someone that works there and they tell you go talk to my manager she will hire you.  Sometimes I could have kicked myself in the ass for listening to that girl... But because of that job I was able to get a new car, so I don't regret it.  Plus I worked with awesome people.

It's all about knowing someone.

Oh my?  Three different places?  *Gasp*  That's tragic!

Most people don't find a job unless they apply to MANY places.  Took me like 10 applications.

Keep trying... its hard to get one nowadays.

its all luck.  i bet your better than half the dumbasses that get hired.  entry level positions are just luck and hook ups.

That's kind of pathetic.
