I've always wanted to go into the business field.. I guess I wanna be that person giving people 30 year mortgages and the first 10 years are all interests...haha.. Anyways, for those of you that are going into the business carreer... I don't know if I want to do Accounting, Financing, International Business, etc...
So tell me all you know about them!
I'd say a job in accounting would be a very stable one. Good starting pay (50-60K), very consistent and not as affected by the market, and good hours (usually only busy during the spring - tax season). If you get your CPA, that'll help boost your career and you can maybe even start your own practice.
In finance, you can make the big bucks - 6 figure starting income; however, the market is not performing well right now and bonuses are going to relatively lower. I'm sure you heard of the Bear Stearns buyout. But this could be a good field to get into, especially right out of college because you will learn a lot and most of the skill sets you develop will be transferrable to other jobs in business.
Well, hope this helps and good luck to ya!
