I'm the new assistant manager and I just can't seem to stop being so awkward around them. The make jokes and I don't laugh, or if I do it's very fake. They try and talk to me, and I don't know how all of a sudden. It's like walking on eggshells. Do you think it might be because I don't know when to work and when to play with them?

If you haven't been working there for long, you'll have trouble knowing where to draw the line, and you're probably just drawing the line as near to yourself as you can.
