i decided to go to a state school back in january. i liked it and everything but it wasnt my first choice. i kinda just fell into the school but i wasnt worried about it. i recentley went to orientation and discovered that i absolutley hated everything about the school. useless counslers and the people there are just not nice.i also kinda dont wanna leave home anymore. there is 35 days till school starts i cant possibly change my mind now. i HAVE to go. ughh i just know im going to be unhappy.

You might end up having a good time in the end, who knows? I hated my university at first, I love it now! Well, except for some teachers and the neverending burocracy, but still, I was a major anti-social freak in my first semester and I ended up fitting in only a few months later!

Give it a try, if you really don't like it, transfer to another school. Also, the whole not wanting to leave home is only natural. There's a bunch of advantages that come with going away to college, but there's also the downside of leaving the family, the homemade meals, the comfort of your own home. You'll probably get used to it and enjoy college life more than you ever expected!

Even with your low expectations, give it a try. Who knows, you might like it after all. Do your best to get involved, meet people, make new friends, and I'm sure there's some pretty decent and nice people among those you didn't like.

Good luck!
