1. I am very close to my parents and I miss them a
ton, I would like to know if anyone else misses
their parents? If so, what do you do about?

2. I have some how gotten stuck with a bad batch of
roommates and can't move, I have tried to talk
some of my issues out with them, but they sit
there and say I am only having these problems
because I am an only child. I don't get it because
what does being respectful to others, taking
some responsibility for your own actions have to
do with me being an only child?

3. How do you stay caught up with all of the reading
you get assigned for your classes?

4. What's a good job to have that will work with your
   class schedule?

Thanks if you can provide any advice, if you can't, thanks anyways for reading...if you actually read this far.

1. Yes I miss my mother from time to time, so I will just give her a text or a phone call or she will call me. If I am going through a stressful time then she will calm me down a lot. I live quite far away from home so I only go back once every 6 weeks, but because I am so busy the time flys by.

2.Fortunatley my flatmates are quite a nice bunch and I am planning on moving in with a few of them next year. I think the best way to combat this is to go out and make new friends that way the room you are living in will only be a room for sleep or perhaps study rather than the centre of your life.

3. I don't lol. I find it hard to do all of my reading and do my essays, so I normally foreit the reading which isn't assessed and blag my way through seminars with lecture notes and what I already know.

4. I have a temp job. I signed up to an agency which I ring when I want work. I work when I want and I am under no obligation to work if I don't. Great for students and travellers who are away for a long period of time, go home a lot or just need to study.

1. I am about an hour and a half from home, and I have a lot of opportunities to go home. I am not sure if I miss my family or not. I am not sure if I consider us as close as other families. I talk to my mom about every day on the phone, and my dad about once a week when my mom hands the phone off to him. I occasionally talk to my youngest brother, the other two never. I do really miss my dog though, and I miss the summer before going to college.

2. I think this depends on the situation, so I can't really comment on it. I switched roommates this semester. Everything is SO much better. It really has helped. My roommate first semester drove me insane. She was a neat freak, stayed up all night, was always on the phone, never left the room - EVER, had sex with me in the room, and was just an anal bitch.

3. I try and keep up with most of my readings. I try to do a lot during the week, but I'll admit it, I kind of waste my time a lot. So usually, on Saturday and Sunday, I buckle down and just get everything done that I lost track of from the week before. It may not be the best way, but I don't get too far behind.

4. Not sure. I couldn't handle a job right now. I considered working a restaurant on two week nights and once on the weekend, but I haven't bothered seriously doing that.

1. Im living with my rents, so no.
2. Nothing. they just dont want to admit to being immature.
3. I dont. Well, for the most part I do, but Im a fast reader, and I read a lot. However, there are some subjects that I just dont do my readings for until just before the final, when Ive finished reading for the rest of my classes. I prioritize which information I need NOW and which I can get by without for a little while.
3. Cant help you there, sorry. I quite my job because it was too much with school. I have heard that being a swim instructor/ lifegaurd has pretty flexible hours. Other than that, Id suggest getting a job on campus - at your bookstore or something. they will, obviously, realize that you have classes and work with you around them.
