ok i was sitting around waiting for the class to start and i heard two other students talking about something.  I wanted to  say something that had to do with their convo but didn't want them to think i was ease dropping.  So my question is (for everyone not a girl or guy specific)

if your talking to someone and someone else tried to take part in the convo that you didn't know what would you think/say?

it wasn't like  a personal convo it was something to do with computers

well, as you said, it wasn't a personal convo, and, therefore, a supportive input wouldn't trouble them much. well at least thats the way i see it.
im sure that if i was having a conversation discussing computers, or anything that requires help at all, i wouldn't mind someone else jumping into the conversation to solve the issue.

besides, joining into conversations as these is just another way of socializing and meeting new people, don't hesitate next time!

I would just think that they are trying to be friendly.  I would have no problem letting them take part in whatever I was talking about.

..typically I don't really talk about very interesting things anyway.

Depends on the person. But usually I'll be cordial and let them join in.

ok, i guess its a good point i just don't want to look like an idiot as said above  My problem is like i imagine i go to talk to a girl for example and like in the movies they just laugh and walk away and say something like "I can't believe he tried to talk to me."  idk something like that lol like i said i over think everything

Yes i think it.  I worry that the people will think negative of me so i usually stay quiet.

how do you think people make friends?

if its not personal, why not?
Sunder Posted at 12:46 am on Feb. 20, 2008
I'd let them into the convo, the more the merrier.

If it's not personal, sure.
