i'm curious. i've never really had a "best friend" and i doubt some of my social abilities. i just wanna know what to expect next year. i don't wanna be lonely!
surely, one can easily come to value their college friends as much as their high school friends, others won't. simply because high school friends have been there for you and know you a lot better, i mean they've known you for four years! whereas a college freshmen hasn't really befriended such intense relationships, simply because you're new and are trying to accustom to your surroundings.
but is it impossible? no, college friends are also going to be there for a long time. college is the most important aspect of pursuing a higher education, it's simply the place to be
certain changes you might notice are probably loss of constant communication, simply because college keeps you busy.
just expect an entirely new environment, full of people completely willing to hear your opinions. im sure that you'll find at least someone to hang out with and consider a close friend, just because colleges tend to have so many different types of people with unique personalities. everyone is capable of finding new friends in college.
