Adding people & saying what's up is not really my style (& i dont mean it in a cocky way at all). But, should i be doing this? I'd rather have the college pick my roomate and have it be a surprise, but am i being left out of having friends before school starts?

We were at a scholarship day and asked if we were looking for roomies. She doesn't drink or smoke, I know she studies, which means that she will let me get my stuff done. We didn't know each other at all, but picked to be roomies-at least I know its someone thats not the total opposite of me. And I added a bunch of other freshman on facebook--kinda get to know people, find out if we have classes together, find carpools! and I think a group of us are going to a concert right before we move in to get to know each other more. delyciouzxma Posted at 5:19 pm on June 26, 2008 you dont have to pick a roommate but i think it would be a good idea to just start talkin to a few ppl. im goin out of state so i tried to make a couple of friends before hand and i made a few good ones that i actually already talk on the phone with so it could be a good idea. It's a good idea actually.
