my boyfriend works hard but so do i. both manual labor jobs. however on our time off i at least attempt to make conversation while he zones out in front of the tv.

I will tell you about my boyfriends house near the TV. His private world. First he bought a giant LAZY BOY with remote control everything, it's also a massage chair and you can put your feet up or roll it back and sleep in it which he often does. Then there's a mini fridge under the arm rest which he stores food in of course and sits there and eats and sleeps all day long. He doesn't want to talk to me, he just wants to watch baseball. If I try he's just like: mmmhhmm. mmmhmm. yeah...

I have the same issue with my boyfriend and Gears of War.

Pick a time to do something together and have some time that is just his "man time"

Tell him you want to actually talk to him and that you'd like an evening where the TV was off for a few hours.

If he pitches a bitch, screw him, obviously unwilling to make time.
