Last night she broke up with me over a text message. I've been severely depressed for 3 years and suicidal for months. I went out with her for a year. She was the first and only girl i ever had sex with. I'm losing it right now. I just want to die.

Your in college dude, you have so much stuff ahead of you that will make this situation look insignificant. Nobody likes losing the first person they have had sex with-NOBODY. I dont know anyone who is still with the person they lost it to. Now its time for you to pick yourself up-believe that its for the better because now you have college girls to chase after. Its all part of growing up. Chances are (and im only guessing) that you want to die because you considered her part of you-and now its gone. If anything this should make you stronger as a person. Your still the same person you have always been-you just have more freedom to do what you want. just for a second try and forget about her, about anything that has ever happened between you two. (just for 10 seconds) and just look outside-at the people. there are millions of people out there-people that can make you happy again. people that can make you forget everything that has ever made you mad/sad/ect. a stranger is just a friend that you haven't met yet. Some-more than a friend. I know girls can suck sometimes (im a girl) and I apologize for all of the shit that we put you guys through-but if she loved you half as much as you do her-then she would have at least had the decency to call you instead of text messaging you. A person like that (in my opinion) isnt worth the effort to be depressed over. I'd save it for someone that i loved but died. Now that's depressing. lonelyguy Posted at 12:12 pm on Oct. 25, 2008 You are far too young to understand what it means to be in a relationship.  I'm 20 and I am too young and immature to be in a serious relationship.  You were so obsessed with her, because she was your first.  It will be difficult getting over he, but time will pass and you will find another. Whatever you do, don't sink yourself so emotionally into every girl that comes your way,  Myself and a lot of people around me have caused themselves so much pain, because we jump into relationships and let ourselves become obsessed with someone.   That is why it hurts so much for you.  You thought you had found the love of your life, but trust me when I say, your first is never your only.  There will be others, you need to get out there and find them. Go Steph Go Posted at 11:53 am on Oct. 25, 2008 You don't need a girlfriend who breaks up over text.  That's really low and childish.  Have you seen a psychiatrist or therapist?  Your college probably has one that you can talk to.  Don't do anything to harm yourself please.  Have a good cry and then try to forget about it.  I know it's SO hard but you'll get through it.  I really recommend a therapist.  Even through right now you want to die think about the future where you will be happy.   Duke Posted at 11:53 am on Oct. 25, 2008 Get in touch with KyleK14, you guys can compare notes and work it out together.
