I like this boy that my best friend went out with. He went out with her last year and broke up with her. Now, many other great guys have liked her since then but she doesn't want to give up on him. Now, two weeks ago we started as just friends but since then we text each other all the time, we are on each other's top 8s on myspace, and are really close. Wheather he likes me or not I like him and I can't help that. He even told me that he hasn't felt anything for her in a long time. I'm not stealing him from her but I feel terrible. Advice anyone?

Since when did becoming Top 8's determine relationships?
What the hell is the world coming to?

Uhhh.... Ask your friend how she would feel about it if you guys ended up dating?

She barely speaks to me now.

If he doesn't like her, and if he does in fact like you, then you should date him. If your friend gets upset, talk to her about it. If she refuses to hear you out then just give her time.

Just tell her that you too are really close and that it isnt something to be mad at. If she is going to be mad then obvoiusly she only cares about how she feels. She had her turn with him right?

I did and she accused me of not caring about how she feels for him...am I being selfish?

There's no reason to feel bad.
