If there an actual way your supposed to get rid of a bible?  Like do you burn it respectfully like a flag or something?

I should have been clearer, I mean what should you do with a bible that's been made unusable/unreadable as in its been chewed up by rats or had ink or something split on it.

In my personal opinion - recycle the paper, or keep it anyway (but I keep weird stuff). It looks like the "proper" way is turning out to be "bury it," though.

i dont think so; maybe you have a funeral for it

I actually think that's what the Jewish do to the Torah that they have in the synagogue, when its too bad to be used they actually bury it like a human.

wow that's interesting, so maybe you can bury a bible too

There is a proper way to dispose of a Bible. You bury it as you would a a living being. Because the word, too, will become as the flesh becomes.

Place it in plastic, and set it somewhere

Recycle it. That way if there is a God they'll be glad you're trying to save the Earth.
