God created Satan, yes. He created him for the same reason he created any of us, to share his love. Satan rebelled and tried to wage war on God, and was cast into hell. He is now responsible for the eternal torment of all the sinners. Go figure.

I mean personally I think all that's metaphorical. And honestly who cares. Dwelling on the idea of Satan is exhausting. I am forced to learn about this stuff because I go to a Catholic high school (I'm not Catholic.)

how did Satan get so powerful? can i be like Satan?

Because at first, Satan was an angel. And one of the greatest angels, I might add. But, he decided the he should be god instead of God. In other words, he thought that he should take God's place. And he went against God and then was sent to Hell where he reigns for eternity.

Christians created Satan!  Part of the fear/control strategy.

Possibly because it is mythology.

Satan is gods inner demon and god is man.

Oh hell no. Please, I get enough of this when we're discussing Lord of the Flies in English.

To the OP: Well, obviously He didn't know that Lucifer would rebel - unless He did and/or drove him to do so as part of his SEKRIT MASTER PLAN.

What we could also ask is how and why trolls like you persist on posting on our forum as though you actually perform applicable and beneficial content for us.

I was necessary. Without Me you humans cannot have free will and by only knowing Good you would be forced of doing God's Will.

It's all part of the plan lol, i've always wondered that myself...

Alright I might be wrong but in some Jewish traditions Satan was created as an entity to find flaws in gods plan, and also a tempter to see whom truly deserves to go to heaven.

Personally that's my view of it, also its not Samielle, its Samael.

He wanted an M.C.
But he turned out to be a huge jerk!

God didnt create Satan in the sense of a physical being.  "Satan" is simply a name used to personify sin, just as "God" is a name used to personify good.  It's something that people need to do in order to make sense of the world.  Unfortunately, Christians take the concepts of God and Satan, Heaven and Hell too literally and think of them as actual places and beings.

Why do they need someone in charge of them? Is there a risk they'll break out?

I'm agnostic, so I could be wrong.

Isn't there something called "The Doors of Hell" which keeps every sinner/demon in hell itself.

I mean, I could be asking why we need a God in Heaven, to be honest. We don't really need him, what are "good" people going to do?

At first he was Lucifer(however you spell it). While he was in Heaven he was a very higher power angel. Then while he was in heaven he wanted total power and control or something like that. After that God then made Hell where he (and everyone else that makes the decision to go there and not be Christian).
How can you say that people who aren't Christian choose to go there? Most non-Christians don't actually believe in hell, so how can they choose to go there?

They chose not to become Christians and if you choose that then you chose to go to Hell.

Jews in the holocaust: weren't they asking for it? They chose not to become Christians, they got damned right after dying anyway.
