| Hi,
i believe that people who commit suicide go to hell.
as for the argument that it is your body and you can do whatever you want with it, i say it's completely wrong. your body is NOT completely yours just because you control it. it belongs to god and you must preserve it for as long as you can. |

No of course not, one of my best friends is both a follower of Jesus and a depression sufferer. However I believe and the bible says that Jesus transforms your live, gives you a new hope when you become a christian. So taking your life away is rebelling against God (sinning). So you have to question why, not immeadiately jump to conclusions.
Perhaps because depression is often a clinical problem and the persons who suffer from depression aren't always responsible for their actions? I don't think it's your place to call anyone "less" Christian for committing suicide...they're no "less" Christian than a Christian who lies or a Christian who has extra-marital sex.
no there arent less christians and more christian, while we were sinners, christ died for us and presents us as blameless before him, if we accept his grace. However there are false christians. Jesus says not everyone who calls me Lord will enter the kingdom of God. Saying you are a christian doesnt make you a christian. And commiting suicide is a sin, you cant just ignore it and say God doesnt have a problem with it. However suicide can happen for a range of different reasons, and can often be very complicated so saying a blanket rule about what happens is dangerous. But if you genuinely believe in Jesus you will not perish but have eternal life |

what the fuck
Read the parable of the four seeds Mark 4:1-19 Unlike many parables, Jesus explains this one clearly
And where in the explanation does he say, "The thorny soil is like the people who commit suicide," I'm wondering? Perhaps you could show that to me?
no Im saying that the thorny people are those who hear the word, perhaps even call themselves christian, but because they have no root choke themselves at the "worries of this life" what do you think Jesus means by those people who are on the thorny soil? Perhaps its the rocky soil, which had no root, no foundation |

| In my religion (islam) Allah tells us in the Qur'an that anyone who commits suicide or tortures his souls is going to hell with a guarantee of no mercy. So i believe anyone that commits suicide will go to hell. This also includes terrorists and extremists |

Actually they are if you have soul and you have control over your body then you do have responibility of whether or not you are depress.
Have you ever studied clinical depression at all? Or, better question: is it your responsibility not to have cancer? |

Do you believe that suicide is a sin? Do you think someone who commits suicide goes to heaven?
Whether or not someone who commits suicide goes to Heaven has nothing to do with the suicide itself and everything to do with Who they know.
say that to some of the churches I go to and you will hear will if they really truely know Jesus they would never truely want to do such a thing not saying I agree with that but I have heard it said at some of the churches I go to
I don't really care what they say. Their position has no Scriptural support. |

Yup. People can't control the balances/imbalances of chemicals in their brains, even Christians. So how is it the fault of the victim if their depression is to the point where suicide risk is involved? |
