Nothing personal. I'm just curious.
Only if they accept Jersus as they'r lord and savior
So you're saying Christians deserve heaven?
You understand the thread is asking about whether or not we deserve heaven, not whether or not we will get it?
But the bible says "there is no one righteous, not even one" (romans 3:10) "for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god" (Romans 3:23)
So no one deserves to go to heaven.
However Jesus dieing on the cross gives grace to those who accept him as Lord. Thus they can be right with God and have the gift of eternal life (heaven)
I find some of this to be very hypocritical. Say there definitely is a Heaven and Hell (I'm not personally saying there is or isn't, but for the sake of argument let's say we now know for 100% sure there are both.) So if an Atheist lives a good life, helping people, not sinning, not committing crimes or causing problems... but happens to have been wrong and didn't believe in this religious stuff... they will still go to hell?
This is the problem I have with some religions. We preach that everyone should be cared for
and treated equally
and everyone is God's children.
Yet if they believe a little differently than us they must automatically be going to hell?
Doesn't that seem to be completely against God's word? If we are all brothers and sisters, how does this make sense?
It's the same argument I have for allowing gay marriage and things of that nature. I just don't see how people can reasonably say we're all God's children, we should all be treated equally both by God and by each other - and then say gays can't marry,
First off atheist don't even believe in heaven, so even if they were good why should they deserve to go to heaven.
So a man who didn't believe the Transafroasiannobel prize committee existed wouldn't deserve an award offered by them, simply because he did not accept the committee's existence?

Religion has the potential to be a wonderful thing for many people. But then there are times where it seems to do nothing but cause ignorance and intolerance.
no one deserves heaven
Every religious text and/or authority I've spoken with has answered "no" to this and that is the primary reason why I am no longer Christian. Along with one other thing
The other thing is ...?

People who work/donate to charities, who always help people in need. Who always respect people for who they are. Then I know so called Christians who really don't give a fuck about anybody but themselves. Some people's sarcasm detectors are broken.
