how so?
Explain to me why one would think he is a philosopher. I would answer your question properly, however I'm rather busy at the moment.
Well philosophy is a comprehensive system of ideas about human nature and the nature of the reality we live in.
I think Jesus would be called a philosopher without having to go into depths of explaining what we already know he preached If you are agreeing with me in the above being philosophy? I dont see how you can argue it.
A quote by CS Lewis that I think bears repeating: "A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic--on the level with a man who says he is a poached egg--or he would be the devil of hell. You must take your choice. Either this was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us.

Why isn't it possible to say that Jesus was probably just a progressive moralist and nothing more? The "mad, bad, God" argument just comes off as a false dilemma.

As far as I know, he wasnt even referred to as the true son of god until centuries after his death. He was just a man, as you said. Nothing more This is how I feel. Jesus was a guy, who convinced people he was god by feeding them some sort of drug/food/drink that made them fall for this shit. Then everyone began forcing their children to go to church to avoid being put into a giant oven. Mass idiocyI dont believe he convinced anyone that he was the son of god, or that he claimed to be anything special. He was just a philosopher that people skewed his image for their benefit.

Youre just blindly throwing out a statement. Yes, the BIBLE whoo! Written by a bunch of dudes, who were HUMAN causing everything in that book to be substantial, and possibly incorrect. Oh yes let me go back and read that corrupt bullshit. Eh, no I have been raised to be Christian, hearing all the classical bible stories thousands of times. In fact, enough to question it, and find the loop holes thankss.

See, once again youre throwing out blind statements.
Many historians of the time wrote of a Jesus of Nazareth, including Tacitus and Julian Africanus.
