ISTANBUL (Reuters) - What happens when you put a Muslim imam, a Christian priest, a rabbi and a Buddhist monk in a room with 10 atheists?

Turkish television station Kanal T hopes the answer is a ratings success as it prepares to launch a gameshow where spiritual guides from the four faiths will seek to convert a group of non-believers.

The prize for converts will be a pilgrimage to a holy site of their chosen religion -- Mecca for Muslims, the Vatican for Christians, Jerusalem for Jews and Tibet for Buddhists.

A team of theologians will ensure that the atheists are truly non-believers and are not just seeking fame or a free holiday.

This seems....odd.

If they where to ask you to swear on the bible that you where not a Christian, do you think you could be able to do it?
I'm trying not to lie, swearing or not so I am afraid I'd probably not manage it.

...plus I giggle a lot when I lie (I also giggle when telling the truth but frightened someone will think I am lying though...)

Sounds like a terrible terrible show.
However it would probably be fun to be a contestant.

You think you could fool the theologians that they use to screen the contestants? :p

Really the only way I can imagine it would not be possible to fool them is if one was unwilling to lie and or do basic research.

I mean, what exactly can a theologian ask someone to find out they are faking atheism?

Or are they going to get the people to swear on a holy relic or something?

not all Christians are crazy about the Vatican thats mostly the catholics

i would had made the prize a trip to Israel and a chance to get baptized in the same river Jesus was baptized in

edit they need a protestant preacher on the show

That sounds like so much fun for some reason.

I doubt those guys are very strong or stubborn atheists, though.
