In fact, in their about us, they claim: Promise Keepers' mission is to to ignite and unite men to become warriors who will change their world through living out the Seven Promises.  Promise Keepers' vision is simply put in three words: "Men Transformed Worldwide." The recently announced that they were going to begin welcoming women and children into their organizations. Why? Why would women want to be better husbands? Why would they want to be transformed men? this makes no sense to me.

I think you are thinking of the senator from Nevada, Ensign who is an active promise keeper, and WAS on the list of republican hopefuls in 2012. I think maybe it is girl children they are accepting?
