This video explains the purpose of the foreskin and shows the damage that circumsicion does to the penis its not an actual penis, its animation, as you can see when the foreskin is removed.

Now that's funny right there. How many people are dropping dead of foreskin cancer? The number is like 1 in 90 billion. So with your fucked up bull shit logic, you should get your tits cuff off too, since the risk of breast cancer is there. I would be more worried about dieing of lung cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, liver cancer, liver disease, stomach cancer, and a million other cancers out there. Yet your pathetic ass is more worried about your kids getting cancer of the foreskin. Ridiculous! Like really? Are people this fuckin stupid? Amazing!

With all the possible health hazards of birth, infant health (both physical and psychological, which are both significant concerns regarding infant circumcision), and the dangers of life in general, the fact that you would be worrying about foreskin cancer is mind boggling to me. Sounds like a lame excuse to exert your preferences on his body to me.
something recent! Quote: from Hunnies at 2:54 pm on Oct. 26, 2011 Mutilate is to injure by means of harm or deprivation. Circumcision is neither. My child, my choice. /end discussion. Quote: from Hunnies at 3:27 pm on Oct. 26, 2011 It is not disfiguring. Disfiguring is removing an ear or cutting off a foot. Not removing a piece of skin. Removal of nipples is not comperable to circumcision. You want to know my reasons? My reasons include protecting my child from cancer. Both my primary care and my OB/GYN have highly suggested I get all my boys circumcised, as one more little protection against cancer. The pediatrician I work for also agrees. Just as I am to never to take hormonal birth control and I am to begin mammograms at age 23, as should my daughters. Anything I can do to protect my child from the curse that plagues my family. Removing a little piece of skin that could potentially prevent cancer is well worth it. sorry, closed ta before I got a link

Kaijew went back and found where I previously posted mist of my opinion. Obviously it wasn't changed, and it wasn't just formed in the course of the thread. Regardless, have my reasons as I stated, and have not lied about it. Like it or not.
Like I said, it doesn't matter my reason, they just like to pick. Regardless of the fact that I have made the same comments in other discussions. Some how the supposed cosmetic reasons, that have nothing to do with my decision, and never claimed are valid because they disagree. I have never and would never circumcise my child just for cosmetic reasons. There are how many posts with me saying previously that I was unsure if I would do it. After a large amount of research, and doctors opinions, we came to the decision we did. I have posted many times about the risks of cancer in my family. Everyone also called me a liar when I said I couldn't take birth control. Most of the points were brought up from previously posted topics, yet no one called me a liar when they were quoted here. It wasn't until I actually stated them again that they are all of a sudden lies. Cases proven as to why I didn't want to bother posting me reasons.

You're called a liar for various and obvious reasons. Even proof doesn't help you because you're still perceived as a liar. I honestly wonder why. I'm glad you have finally decided to contribute to the debate. Well done, A+, I'm proud of you. I never thought this would be possible.
I definetly see the point comparing it to removing fingers, but removing the foreskin, and taking off working digits of the hand are hardly the same thing.
It isn't exactly the same thing because they are different parts of the body, but the analogy was in regards to the point. The guarantee of a type 1 diabetic getting gangrene on the fingers, while higher than normal, isn't guaranteed, just as phimosis with an infant boy born into a family where a few of his relatives got it isn't guaranteed.
The other aspect of the analogy is that gangrene in the fingers isn't going to do more than simply require your fingers to be removed, just as the case with phimosis is with the foreskin. That's where it differs with penile cancer, where the cancer can spread and having cancer in your body is a hell of a lot worse than not having your foreskin.
It is just about weighing out the pros and cons, and for us, we lean towards it being reason enough, especially combined with the risk of cancer. Phimosis on it's own, would not be enough of a reason for us, but we are preventing two things, with one action.
I see. Most people who say circumcision should be banned, even for religious reasons, recognize that there are medically necessary reasons for it in rare circumstances.
Quote: from Hunnies at 2:40 pm on Feb. 29, 2012 Since everyone's life seems to revolve around this ATM and I have to leave my house. Recent studies that have come through the doctors office have shown that phimosis is hereditary. Every man in my husband's family, who was not circumcised as an infant, has had to be circumcised as an adult due to phimosis. I spoke with my OB/GYN and my husband's urologist on the matter and they both agreed that the likelyhood of our son needing to be circumcised as an adult was great enough to warrant the infant to be circumcised shortly after birth. They said that the older the person is the more difficult and dangerous the procedure becomes and they beleive that it is in the best interest of a future child to have the child circumcised. Another strong point is the risk for penile cancer. I am aware that it is rare, however my family has a tremendously high risk of cancer, and it was suggested by my grandmother's oncologist to consider circumcision, after finding out that three of her brothers, one of which is circumcised have penile cancer. He said that the normal person who would not at risk enough to have him even suggest circumcision, but given the history, he said it would simply be a precaution worth taking. The cancer risk in my family is so great, that instead of my getting my first mammogram at 40, my doctor and oncologist want my to have it immediately, at the age of 23. Then there are the non-significant points of hygeiene, the slight risk of STD transmission being increased, they increased risk of UTI in the infant, and his sexual partners later on in life. I have researched circumcision to no end for the last 5 years. I understand where people are coming from, and believe me, I don't want to cause pain to my son, but anything I am able to do to protect him from these family curses will ease my mind. i'm going to have to call bullshit on this this is a legitimate medical issue the entirety of this thread, you've gone on about how its your right as a parent to mutilate your child and refusing to give any reason for it and suddenly you come out of nowhere to claim a medical reason for wanting to circumcise your child, when if you had just said this at the start, you'd have saved yourself and everyone the trouble? not buying it AND considering this thread is pretty much about NON MEDICAL CIRCUMCISION and you've been arguing for cosmetic circumcision the entire time you're full of shit
