i have the same problem... and it came from opiate abuse, which means the codeine may help short term but it will make things harder in the long run.

then again codeine is the very softest opiate. it does not have the same withdrawal effects as the other side of the family -- morphine and the drugs which metabolize into morphine derivatives.

have you ever heard of ambien? a doctor might give you a two week 'script to get you sleeping with a higher dose the first week then a lower dose during the second week so you get phased back into your natural sleep cycle.

At one point I had to take 8 pills a night to fall asleep lol. It can get better, though. I don't even have 1 every night anymore.

Well duh.

But you shouldnt try one night...you should try to fall asleep without pills...

Perhaps you should visit a doctor, and see if you can't get a proper sleep-aid.  Things like tylenolpm and nytol shouldn't be taken on a nightly basis, and should especially not be combined with prescription codeine.  Sounds like you're getting a mega-dose of acetemenophine every night...

maybe your like me

im an insomnic so most nights i dont sleep well or at all...i try not to use pills because then you become dependent on them.

try reading before going to bed and not using the computer or watching tv to close to bed time....also caffenine and fizzy drinks near bedtime are a no no. lol
