Seems like you haven't tried coke. I don't have wikipedia to back me up, I have my friends.

If you snort often enough to get addicted it won't happen in 10 years, in fact you probably won't live long enough.

I've snorted plenty of coke, as have most of the people I know. Numbers are numbers, and cocaine dependence generally takes a very long time to form. I understand that people can get addicted much faster than this, but those are anecdotal accounts.

The study itself discusses how previous studies had suggested a more "explosive" addiction potential where the first two years were the highest risk, and then goes into various reasons why their findings might be different. Definitely worth the read.

I guess it all really depends on how often and how much you snort, I can hardly believe that someone who does cocaine on a regular basis (say three times a week at the most) can not be addicted after a year of use, not mentioning the risks you take and situations you go through just for more coke, 10 years of coke seems long enough to kill somebody.

Now if you use it like once a month you can go a lifetime without getting addicted.

That's probably part of the reason that whatever source my textbook was using came to its conclusion--it's a lot more common for new smokers to smoke a lot of cigs every week than it is for someone to snort tons of coke every week. We use nicotine in a way that is more prone to addiction.

thats fucking stupid.

My source=CNN and Fox.

and, oh Wilder the great one (sarcasm), they referred to him as an ADDICT, not a one of user so lets see your mouth start the fuck up in say, oh 1 second

I'm not really interested in what you say Fox said about Barack. The amount of cocaine that he did is fairly well-established and uncontested, and it's not enough for him to have been an addict.

Cigarettes are nowhere near as addictive as cocaine. Cocaine addiction is pretty quick, cigarettes take years.

Unfortunately I don't have my AP Psych book that I got the cigs fact from; you can check wikipedia under "cocaine addiction" to see how most take over a decade to develop, however.

Tried coke =/= addicted to coke (especially considering how cigs are more addictive than cocaine and coke addictions generally take at least a decade).

Fuck up less please?

Obamapublicly admitted to his cocaine use in his book. This is widely known. And as was stated, Bush did coke too... as well as knock up prostitutes.
