My friend was going to have house party, i was invited but one of my friends kept on giving me grief because i said i wasn't going to drink. It's not that it is illegal that i don't want to drink, it's that i genuinely don't like the taste. She says if i don't drink i'll ruin the party and be really boring. In my eyes alcohol makes people do stupid things and i don't want t do something i'll regret because i've been drinking.

I want to got to the party, i just don't want to drink, i don't want to give in just because i want to go to the party. How can i get the massage across that i don't want to get drunk?

When she pressures you, just raise one eyebrow and say didn't we already discuss this.

It's purely your choice and it's good that you are prepared to stand by that and not give in. Just tell her simply, you don't want to drink and you don't need it to have fun. Then if she doesn't want you there that's honestly her problem.

exactly and if she dont listen then thats up to her you dont need her party to have a good time go out and make your own fun or something

eat lots before the party, like a meal, and have half a glass then by te time you have that everyone will be too drunk to notice your soberness and will thank you for getting them out of trouble by being sober
