Rainbow Blight Posted at 11:28 am on Nov. 21, 2008 Focalin is dexmethylphenidate with effects similar to methylphenidate.  I don't think it really gets you high like methylphenidate, but it has proven to work better than Ritalin for ADD.  It can relieve depression at higher doses and also is used in treatment for people who fall asleep in the middle of the day randomly (narcolepsy I think it's called).  I've never taken it myself but know that it comes in doses of 10-20mg. marshmellowman Posted at 11:28 am on Nov. 21, 2008 It's dexmethylphenidate, used normally to treat ADHD, a drug which has a very high susceptibility in leading to drug dependence or alcoholism.
