This guy that I hang out with gave me a pill last night. I knew it was focalin, but I've never taken any. It's a light blue capsule with NVR D15 on it. I looked it up on Erowid but that basically turned out to nothing. Anyway, never taken it, want to know what to expect. 1. What should I expect? 2. What mg is it? 3. Tellz me a story. Rainbow Blight Posted at 11:28 am on Nov. 21, 2008 Focalin is dexmethylphenidate with effects similar to methylphenidate.  I don't think it really gets you high like methylphenidate, but it has proven to work better than Ritalin for ADD.  It can relieve depression at higher doses and also is used in treatment for people who fall asleep in the middle of the day randomly (narcolepsy I think it's called).  I've never taken it myself but know that it comes in doses of 10-20mg. marshmellowman Posted at 11:28 am on Nov. 21, 2008 It's dexmethylphenidate, used normally to treat ADHD, a drug which has a very high susceptibility in leading to drug dependence or alcoholism.
