i used to take tussionex for persistent coughs or a very small amount once in awhile when i needed to clunk out
that stuff has hydrocodone and some other heavy cough suppressant thing, but boy when i took a full dose of that shit, i wouldnt have ANY urge to cough after coughing nonstop the whole fucking day, and would be out for 12 hours
i got prescribed this new shit because they dropped the hydrocodone from the tussionex. it not only tastes like shit, but doesnt do too much at the instructed dose. it says every 4 hours instead of 8 too, im still having some trouble sleeping from cough but not as bad. it has codeine in it though, but im wondering why it isnt doing jack shit, isnt it supposed to be a narcotic
in the mean time though im taking anti biotics because i have this weird nauseating feeling and urge to cough so its just a precaution
but yeah i saw that i just wasnt sure, this stuff is fucking weak compared to that, ill probably have to up the dose when i seriously cant get sleep
seriously that stuff before blew ambien out of the water, just knocked me out cold, it was the biggest lifesaver ever, except if i took a full dose i couldnt drive in the morning
It is a fairly low dose...but I would say the main reason behind it is that codeine is much less potent than hydrocodone. Your liver has to convert codeine into morphine, to put it simply, before it can 'use' the drug. Hydrocodone is a much more powerful sedative.
That would my guess, anyways
A. The antibiotics probably aren't doing anything unless you have some sort of infection. B. How much codeine is in the stuff you're taking?

im just taking those in case i have some annoying infection
concentration is 10 mg/5 ML, dont know what percentage that is exactly, probably low
