So let me get this straight clonazepam or klonopin will make me more social adept or at least calmer and more content when around others like at a mall.

kolonopin used to help me so much. it was the only benzo that didn't cause me to lose my common sense and inhibitions (compared to valium and xannax). other benzos tended to lead to pill popping once i started on one and had other horrible side effects like severe slurring of my words and severe memory problems.

kolonopin 2mg would last me about 14hrs without having to take another and would keep down all my phobia, anxiety, panic attacks, and even seemed to help with pain.

now i've been taken off by my doctor (i was previously getting k-pins through online consultation -- which is sketchy). and i'm now on buspar. and it sucks. badly. i have to endure a month of this to see if it will work then i'm asking the doctor to put me back on kolonopin.

being off kolonopin has drastically increased my stress, anxiety, and pain. it has led me to take much more tramadol (a semi-narcotic pain med im on) and skelaxin (a muscle relaxor) just to try and stabilize myself.

if i don't get a re-scripted for kolonopin next month i'm literally going to shed some tears...

opiates shouldn't be taken with impaired resp. function because of CNS depression...however my assumption would be that you have a tolerance to most meds and I highly doubt that a benzo is going to do much damage. Plus a doctor has to prescribe it and you can take like 20 mg a day...although i have seen you mention Kaiser Ins. before...so maybe you should be concerned...heh heh heh

Klonopin is an extremely potent anti-anxiety, muscle relaxant, and anticonvulsant, which is used for treated people suffering from epilepsy. This is not a drug that one would abuse, which from your other posts, it seems like you abuse huge amounts of prescription painkillers.
I have to agree. It is also advised to be cautious and talk to a doctor if you're taking it with impaired respiratory functions (which you do because of your CF). Not to mention that you can get severe withdrawal symptoms if you stop taking it suddenly.

With all the other medications you take and the way you abuse them, this is really not one to mess with.

to be honest, it's kind of outdated for anxiety as well, usually you see it used as a break through drug with a maintenance drug like Paxil (paxil is one of my favorites so i talk about it a lot) Personally I like lamictal as a mood stabilizer.

I sleep with a pillow case filled with percocet pills instead of cotton.

benzodiazepines are fantastic meds. And yes they are good for panic. Clonazepam/klonopin is not a potent med and is actually an out dated drug for seizure disorders. Now we use Dilantin and others for that, but is still pretty good for anxiety, it's a little stronger than valium, but not quite as bad as haldol.
