I also used to smoke outside bars and in bar patios and I was popular because I was quite generous. I'm not saying that's cool or anything but it is socially accepted a lot. Infact I feel stupid at times for risks I took but I was younger back then. for Maybe weed is more acceptable than booze in some cases because booze ruins a lot more lives. Drinking just isn't nearly as pleasant for most people.
