My boyfriend has drinks with his friends on the weekends and it makes me upset because I want him to be like me and not drink. I caught him drinking the other day and we are broken up now. So I'm sitting here thinking "Fuck this, maybe I should just get wasted, get it over with, and see what he thinks about THAT"

On the one hand, Drinking is bad if he's doing it too often and too much. On the other hand, it's unfair to completely expect him to go without. a happy moderate is a much better solution. If you're really uncomfortable with it though, explain it to him why you're uncomfortable and maybe he can give you some reassurance. If you'll never be comfortable with it, and he's willing to give it up for you that's fine, but realize that it might be too large a sacrifice and finding someone who shares the same values might be better for you.
