Due to the high number of topics dealing with Cannabis related issues, I have decided to start a sticky. If you feel that you have something new and original to contribute, feel free to make a separate topic about it. However, the typical 'should weed be legal?' topics and rants will no longer be allowed.

legalize it and tax it, will help out mass with the recession as well as put a lot of dealers out of business and less drug crime

i entirely agree with this... the government itself would make a ton of money....however i do think that it should have the same restrictions as drinking

I don't really use it at all anymore, but I think it should be legalized. What's the harm, most of the side affects are minor, exaggerated or myth.

prison is a big business, so they need more visitors in their gaol.

Well, seeing as I use medical marijuana because of recent legalization, I would have to say I am for it.
dogsareme123 Posted at 1:45 pm on Nov. 23, 2009
I am for it, just because I feel there are far too many people in prison for what is really a petty drug, if they do not do  anything stupid while on it.

zirr Posted at 8:37 am on Oct. 21, 2009
I don't think it should be legalised, because it's made me a paranoid mess, and from experience of my friends who have done it, it's messed them up (not like me in a mental way, they're just.. thicker.)

ehmneedshelp Posted at 1:46 pm on Oct. 15, 2009
I think pot should be legalized, with restrictions.
Sesha Posted at 9:40 pm on Oct. 12, 2009
Legalize it for people over 18. In my opinion, it's generally not as bad as alcohol. It certainly has the potential to be, but on the whole, does not have as many deaths associated with it (although that needs to be researched) usually does not make people violent, and a responsible person can have more self control doing pot versus drinking. They might act funny, but it's usually not as dangerous.

There needs to be programs that teach how to use pot responsibly, and resources for people that want to smoke it but don't want to let it turn into a huge problem. If authorities keep telling teens its terrible, and they smoke it and find out it's really not, then they're more likely to turn away, ignore what they have to say, and make poor decisions because they don't know what to trust.

It's funny that some people regardless of having the facts prove far to ignorant to see the truth beyond their own personal beliefs.
