Alcoholism has been around for ages, but there are so many new developments in the medical field for help. You won't have to go too far to get help.
Believe me, I'd choose being able to walk on two legs, instead of being in a wheelchair or so messed up, like being paralyzed in some kind of accident because of alcohol. It's a depressant too, so if you're trying to "run" away from your problems, stop running and get help to address all your issues. good luck
It's just willpower left, I guess =/
But you must have bought it from somewhere, right? I'm saying don't buy it (when you are feeling relatively in control) so that you have nothing to drink when you feel out of control and give in.
Don't drink? Nothing is forcing your hand to pick up a bottle and put it to your lips. Don't pick it up.

Cut down on it. Maybe keep your credit and bank cards at home whenever you go out, and only carry the cash you need, so that you never buy too much alcohol. It's normal to relapse into depression, you'll get out of it... but drinking's about the worst thing you can do now
